At the time of planting, the distinctive green Millennium Tree Line (MTL) discs had not yet been produced, so the tree was left unmarked. After roughly ten years of slow growth, the tree was cut back (hedge trimmer or cow?). Its destiny now perhaps, to be cut back each year when the hedges are trimmed, followed ultimately by strangulation from the still present tree tie. The tree is a common oak (quercus robur).
