A note in the papers of the former Millennium Tree Line company (MTL) states that two lime trees were planted on 23 February 1998 at 53°20’34”, 0°. No description of the site or OS grid reference is given. Rather oddly, although MTL trees were supposedly planted with an error in longitude of less than one metre, the latitude is given only to the nearest second of arc – i.e. ± 15 m. The planting site appears to have been in the middle of a field, at or near where the umbrella stands in the 2007 image set.
